In September 2010 compuBase.biz created an indicator of distribution activity, a barometer of the sales activity of resellers and VARs in France.

Our indicator is based on a selected panel of companies that have regularly used the platform over the last 12 months via the easystockonline application (application for finding product availablity and pricing)

Our selected panel comprises 100 companies that are representative of the distribution activitiy. Analysis of their searches provides a reliable means of understanding the overall activity in IT distribution in France.

The compuBase.biz/EasyStockOnLine indicator is useful for all distribution professionals, but in particular for distributors and wholesalers.

The indicator provides 3 figures

• A comparison of the month's activity with the that of the same month one year earlier Y-1
• A comparison of the month's activity with that of the previous month
• A comparison of the activity over the last few months with the activity over the same months for the previous year

Limitations of the indicator: This is not an indicator in terms of value, but in terms of the number of stock consultations for IT and telco products.Furthermore, EasyStockOnLine users are primarily resellers and VARs, the indicator does not cover retail and e-commerce targets.
